Christmas is approaching very quickly and with all the shops and adverts promoting the festive season even before the time, it was difficult to resist getting decorations for my tree.
One of my favourite things about this time of the year is decorating the Christmas tree. Something about it takes me back to my childhood, but now that I don’t live at home I have a small contest between me and my mum to see who has the most beautiful tree.
It’s always fun getting the decorations out each year but sometimes it’s nice to mix things up with something new by buying something new every single year. I went for traditional and classic theme: red, gold and ivory globes, gold tinsel and bid, white lights and for the top red poinsettias.
This year is very special because I like to believe that I have started a tradition of making the tree with my partner in crime and this made my heart melt while we were trying to do our best in decorating it.
Throughout the decorating process (handing the globes random but in order) I stand back from the tree all the time so I can make sure everything’s looking good and put in the right place.
Another tradition in my family is to listen Christmas Carols and drink mulled wine and is the best way to create the lovely atmosphere for the next couple of weeks.
Let me know how you have decorated your Christmas tree and with who. I also would like to wish you lovely holidays with your beloved one and Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy this time of the year as much as I do!
